Blubrake hat im Rahmen des PNRR Green Transition Fund, finanziert von der Europäischen Union NextGenerationEU, eine Beteiligungsinvestition erhalten, um die Produktion seines patentierten ABS für E-Bikes und leichte Elektrofahrzeuge zu skalieren.

Blubrake hat 12 Millionen Euro in einer von Algebris Climatech, Fundracer BV und Tri-Star gemeinsam angeführten Finanzierungsrunde erhalten, um die Produktion zu skalieren und die breite Einführung seines ABS für E-Bikes und leichte Elektrofahrzeuge voranzutreiben.

Tests carried out by Swiss Touring Club (TCS) proved e-bikes and e-cargo bikes fitted with an ABS improve safety, manoeuvrability, and stability. The Swiss association determined how an ABS (anti-lock braking system) reduces braking distance and avoids front wheel lock-up even on slippery terrains.

• The anti-lock braking system (ABS) solutions developed by Blubrake make light electric vehicles (LEVs) safer, significantly reducing road accidents and facilitating the adoption of alternative means of transport that contribute to the development of more sustainable mobility, such as e-bikes.
• The EIB funding will help expand the adoption of ABS technology in the e-bike market, supporting the industrial investments needed to increase Blubrake's production capacity.
• Over the past five years, the EIB has invested more than €5.4 billion in Italy to promote sustainable mobility.
